DO YOU KNOW WHAT WORN NOZZLES ARE COSTING YOU?
There are a lot of important parts on a self-propelled sprayer, but often the most overlooked is one of the smallest and most important, spray nozzles. Nozzles have the greatest impact on accuracy of the application both volume and coverage. Worn spray nozzles can potentially cause crop damage, increased product costs, and weed breakthroughs which will impact your bottom line on every pass and every acre you cover.
HOW DO I KNOW WHEN A NOZZLE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED?
The most accurate way to test nozzle wear is with a SpotOn Sprayer Calibrator SC2 (PM38790). You can invest in this tool at your local Martin Tractor parts department. Check for wear by sprayer water at 40PSI and collect the flow of the entire spray pattern. The calibrator will automatically time and measure the nozzle flow rate for you. We recommend replacing nozzles in the actual flow varies more than +/- 10% of the stated flow from the manufacture.
WHAT NOZZLES DO I NEED?
Selecting the right nozzle depends on what best fits what you are wanting to apply. Choosing the correct nozzle can be a daunting task. Download the EquipmentPlus App from John Deere and use the built in nozzle sprayer reference tool to help you chose. Once you know what nozzles you need, take advantage in the month of February and SAVE 12% during Martin’s Parts Month!
